Amy Correia was one of a handful of songwriters to garner three nominations in the 2011 IMAs: "Singer-Songwriter Folk Album" -- You Go Your Way, "Love Song" -- Love Changes Everything, and "Story Song" -- Took Him Away. While Keith Richards, Tom Waits, Kathleen Brennan, Suzanne Vega, Ozzy Osbourne were some of the jury members for the official IMA awards, there was also a popular vote fans cast. You Go Your Way also earned "Vox Populi" awards for Best Folk Singer-Songwriter Album and Best Love Song.

Amy Correia's raw power and musical honesty have drawn comparisons to Michelle Shocked Tom Waits and Bonnie Raitt with "a lyrical dexterity akin to Bob Dylan's" (Guitar World Magazine). Her fans agree, pitching in to raise more than $35,000 to make Correia's third album, You Go Your Way, an award-winning album that she released on her own after two album releases with EMI. The album’s strength led to her fortuitous meeting with legendary front-woman of the Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde, who saw Correia perform and on the spot invited her to open Hynde’s 28-city tour.
